It’s one of the great mysteries of modern musical theatre.
Across Plymouth. Across Devon. Across the UK.
Hundreds of women are happily signing up for singing, dancing and acting classes, while musical theatre companies everywhere are asking the same question:
Where are all the men?
We know you’re out there.
We’re looking for men of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels to join our friendly, ambitious and slightly theatrical family.
Never been on stage before? That’s fine.
Think you can’t sing? We’ve heard that before.
Got two left feet? We can work with that.
If you’ve got enthusiasm, a willingness to give things a go, and a secret desire to stand in the spotlight instead of watching from the audience, we’d love to meet you.
Of course, a natural flair for singing, acting or dancing is always a bonus. But many performers discover talents they never knew they had simply by turning up and getting involved.
Being part of a musical theatre company isn’t just about performing. It’s about making friends, building confidence, learning new skills, having a laugh, and creating something amazing together.
And let’s be honest, musicals need men.
Who else is going to play the heroes, villains, comic sidekicks, romantic leads, fathers, kings, pirates, policemen, revolutionaries, and all those other brilliant characters that make our shows come to life?
